Default February 9th - 18th at AA in Bolingbrook !!

$1 per gallon tank sale up to 90 gallons, and above 90 it's $2 per gallon. There's also 50% off all fish. One of the salespeople told me about it when I was there last night, so get those credit cards ready.

The store has also increased it's plant offering, and this location is starting to look a lot like the Schumburg store. I'll be there to see if can score any female apisto's, so maybe I'll see some of you there.

Josh

Oh good, now maybe i wont have to go all the way up to Hoffman Estates for plants. Do you know if the 50% off can be combined with the "fish club" pricing?

Scott's Petshop in Westchester is allot closer if you live in the city. They have a nice selection in plants as well.

If I remember correctly, when AA in Hoffman Estates had a decent sale, it only was valid to discount members only. I know when I was there the other week, they offered membership for free.

AA was just recieving their new shipment of plants when I was last there. They have several new tanks set up for all the live plants. I am hoping to get a look this weekend some time, I would like some Java Fern. I did get my fish club membership for free last week.

My membership was free too, but I haven't gotten anything in the mail about it yet. I plan on getting there early before everything is gone.

Stopped in tonight. They have A LOT of tanks! The new plants are also set up and look really nice. Large Swords, micro swords, compact swords, Cardinal, Jave fern, Bacopa, moss balls, Ludwiga (Very Nice), Mexican Oak (Interesting - might get some), a few other staples also.

Tanks looked like they were clearing up also. They had some wonderful looking new Large Rainbowfish towards the back near the fish station. I wish my 55 was set up all ready.

If it was that same day we met Josh, then their RCS wasn't allot either. I think I saw 2 as well. I took a quick glance at their blue shrimp and it looked like Amano shrimp, but then again, it was a quick glance. I'm planning to stop by Sunday, but I doubt I'll buy any fish/shrimp, due to the cold weather. Since the sale is all week, I'll probably wait when it gets warmer to buy something. Too bad I don't have any more room for tanks. I would probably pickup a 75.

FYI, the sale is a great opportunity for us local guys to meet & trade plants.

Unfortunately, I gave most of my excess trimmings away. I can spare some corkscrew vals and dwarf sags, if anyone wants any, but not much either.

I just came from there. There wasn't anything new (FW community fish & plants), since last week, as far as I could see. I overheard the guy saying they will receive new fish shipment in on Wednesday. So the best time to probably go is Friday or the weekend.

Man that place was packed Saturday. I picked up some nice Java Fern and an Amazon Compact with several new baby plants starting out on a runner. I also got some Bacopa, but it is quickly turning dark green and dying off towards the lower portions.

The crypts I picked up from there a few weeks ago are starting to turn around. The large clump I bought has a lot of melting leaves. I separated a bunch of them and they seem to be doing much better now in both my 6 and 10 gallon tanks.

I just got back from there. Actually, I'm just right outside the store in my car. They did get some more fish in. I noticed Cardinal tetras, Royal Farlowellas, and another farlowella tank, marke XL farlowellas. Im planning to pick up the XL farlowellas, since they are cheaper than the original ones I picked up the other week. I was more interested in the royal farlowella, but at around $45 each, even with the sale, they are too expensive.

As far as shrimp & plants, nothing new since last week.

Sorry, not familiar with any other cichlids, except for angels and discus. As far as apistos, you might also want to check out the GCCA.net Classifieds.
