Someone informed this bunch of geeks that there was a little football game on that same day that some folks might consider a conflict.
Stay tuned for a new date - probably 2 weeks later.
Thanks to everyone who got this going, and Old Orchard for hosting!

I cant beleive Old Orchard Aquarium would be willing to host a club. They are so anti-internet and they know clubs do alot of trading and internet buying. Maybe they are changing their business plan??? Keep us posted here for a date.

Now it's looking like 2/24.
Other dates conflicted with GCCA and Greenwater activities.
Talk about herding cats!

Will, do you want to see about editing the thread title, now that the 3d is definitely out?

is there an agenda for this meeting? Is Old Orchard Aquarium going to let us swap goods? I am a little concerned with how they will treat us since I am so fimiliar with the store and owner. Who has had conversation with them that can reasure they are ok with potential customers swaping with each other?

I've never been to Old Orchard before, or to a CAGA meeting other than in someone's home.
On the CAGA discussion board, I asked just this type of question. The guys working with Old Orchard said trading plants would be fine. But folks suggested it would not be cool to use this as an opportunity to freely swap/sell equipment and stuff that the store that is allowing us to use their space might prefer selling to us.
So I don't know what the precise answer is, but personally, I recommend some amount of discretion.
You might want to ask any specific questions over on the CAGA forum, where they discussed and posted an agenda.

Default hi

I had asked the same question because the way i was approach when i was in there. I was asking the store about a Co2 system and another customer had told me he had a 20lb tank for $50. He pulled me over to the side and said that there was no soliciting in his store. I told him that it was not me and i don't think he believed me, but i just figured that he was having a bad day.

So i think all trades should be made out side.
