I was only half serious I guess, I'd be quite wary of it too. The dark color would be really nice looking though I think. Worth a thought. If it contains crushed coral, I believe it would increase your hardness, which may not be in line with your goals for the tank.

Lol, sorry, I got 4 hrs of sleep last night, meant oil dri was similar to SMS! And there is a black sand beach on maui
