Does anyone know where I can find some locally bred rams? I've searched through all the local stores and am less than satisfied with the quality I've seen. I have managed to pick up one healthy male from kahala petland a while ago, but haven't been able to find any females. If it helps, I'm looking to get 3 or 4 females.
I'll finally be able to make the HAS meeting tonight, so I'll ask around there. Thanks, Matt |

petland kahala is the only place that regularly stocks rams that i know of. try putting an order in with them, they get their shipments weekly... you can also try the petland ala moana or a small place (i forget the name, maybe its called Modern Pet Store) on Makaloa Street near the Walmart.
I'd call before going down though. Monte

Thanks, I guess I'll make some phone calls. I've talked to the people at Kahala Petland and they said they only ever get the males in from Asia. With all the complaints I've heard about the farmed Asian rams I'm kind of leary about buying them, but then a gain the male I do have is most likely from Asia and is as healthy as a horse.
Thanks, Matt |
