Thanks dhavoc! Do you know their time schedule? I am planning to go there this weekend or possibly the following weekend.

The Kalihi pet store opens at 9 to 7 at weekdays and 9 to 5 on weekends. Unfortunately I went there today after 5: it was closed . But I peek inside and it looks good.

Time for another resurrection...I'm looking for a pair of dwarf cichlids as a centerpiece for my new tank. I know Kahala petland has a bunch of blue and gold rams, but I'd rather not have to buy a large group and wait for a pair to form. Then try to figure out something for the remaining fish. Also, I don't have my heart set on rams at all. I'm interested in the various apistos as well.

FWIW, I'm not a member of HAS, yet...just got no time right now although I'll hopefully be able to get to the November meeting.

Thanks,

Matt

hey matt,

check out modern pet. they have two types of a cacatuoides: the double red and the white double red. there is obvious sexual dimorphism in these species.

pets unlimited also had some a viejita, but i didn't see any females. they also had "german" rams, which were sexually mature, so you could select a pair. i really don';t like this shop, trying to get info from them is like pulling teeth.

laters.

Thanks, I'll stop by modern pet centr tomorrow and see what's shaking. I've heard the cacatuoides can be a little territorial when spawning, and maybe the rams would be a safer bet with the other tank inhabtants.

Thanks,

Matt
