So if Java Ferns are so easy to grow why are mine not growing?
I'm not planting them in the ground, I'm attaching them to bog wood with some Java Moss which is thriving...but the Java Fern is just sitting there.
Any clue what my problem is?

idk, maybe it is spending all of its energy attaching to the driftwood, or maybe your anuubias is just really lazy. i hope your problem is solved soon because anubias are really cool

Mine did good in a tank with 3 watts per gallon but died off in the one with about 1 watt per gallon.

Hi guys,
I am currently having different experiences with the Java Fern. The one on my 75 gallon, which is in a pretty lid st up and also receiving CO2, is doing excellent. On the other hand, the one on my 20 long, with one strip light, is not showing signs of growing; the leaves are actually turning brown and slowly dying. I hope to see some change soon. Thankfully, the ones on the 75 gallon are begining to shoot babies from their tips.

I dont know to. I just tied my java fern on a wood. They were growing slow. About one leaf a month. one member told me cut a full sized leaf, poke holes on the leaf with the toothpick, tie it on a rock then after 3 months, It'll grow as a new java fern.
