Lfs
Just wanted to post a update on a couple of our local fish stores. I was calling on some of our lfs's to leave flyers and solicit support for the AGA Convention.
Petland Dunwoody - this store is about 3 miles from my office. I hadn't been in there for quite some time because I was dissappointed with the stores upkeep and selection. What a nice surprise. The store looks much better (still cramped due to actual store size) and they are starting to carry a decent selection of plants. The store manager says he is trying to keep a better selection of plants and will place special orders if requested. Petland Alpharetta - I used to frequent this store on a regular basis. It is on my way home from work. The staff always seemed knowledgeable, the store was well kept and they had a better supply of plants than most. They were meticulous about cleaning the fish room and I could always find some fish that interested me. Stopped going by several months ago because the fish room seemed to be neglected. Again, what a nice surprise! The store has a new owner and he is a big freshwater guy!! He was extremely excited to hear about the AGA Convention (especially Amano). Looks like good changes are taking place at this store. Stop by and talk with the new owner. He would be interested in hearing your thoughts and desires (you will probably find him in the fish room). If you haven't already registered for the AGA Convention Nov 14 - 16. You need to go ahead and do it. It is not often that an opportunity like this happens so close to home. Many are flying in for the convention and it is right here in your backyard. http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/convention.html
