I'm Trying to Start/Join a Killifish Club in Southeast Georgia
I live in Vidalia, GA. There is basically nothing here between Macon and Savannah in the way of decent pet store or private breeders and clubs, or at least nothing I've ever found. So I talked to the American Killifish Association and they said that pretty much all you need to form a local club/chapter is 4 members of the AKA and a contact person
So I'm trying to either join up with a local club, if there is one, or start one, just so there will be some people to trade fish and plants and information with. I personally have no desire at all to be "in charge" but I'll do it if I have to. I know of a couple of people here in vidalia that keep native killifish, like the American Flag Fish and the pygmy killie, so I'm hoping that one or two of them might be interested
And I was just putting this here hoping that maybe a few of you would be interested too. If Killifish isn't your thing, any kind of fish club or loose association is fine with me, I just happened to be an AKA member so I went that route looking for some direction and structure. If there's a fish club or network or something around here already, that would be even better, please just point me to it
