Even though this thread is old, I was curious if anything became of this. I've recently become interested in making a planted aquarium and I'd like to be able to talk to others about their aquariums.

If anything ever came of it, I never heard about it. I'm still around, though my tank has been somewhat neglected of late. It's overgrown with crypts (sold to me as C. balansae, though I have my doubts about the id, as they seem to be a bit short. If you'd like some, let me know. The last I heard of Zach I think was in Atlanta.
