Bag for Purigen?

What type of containers have you used for Purigen in your filters? I have media bags that I purchased a while back--they are made by Aquaclear---the Purigen seems to pass through the holes in the bag fairly easily. Any other suggestions? Panty hose around the media bag?

Thanks in advance.

Seachem actually makes a product called "The Bag". Some have used panty hose pretty well too!

I tested a small amount of Purigen in a 300 micron bag and it passed through. The Seachem bags are 180 micron bags and I'll have to buy them.

BTW, the holes in a pantyhose smaller than 300 microns?

I have had the same problem. HBH makes the Aqua-Pure filter media bag in several sizez and I have had good luck with this using Purigen. My LFS has the 4"x12" size for $3.99. Smaller sizes are available.

so far i think only Seachem bags could withstand the multiple bleach re-gen treatment. something to consider.
