Question

Just one quick question!

For my 75gal how many pounds of flourite would be acceptable for a 2-3 inch bed? I just really need a general idea from someone with a similar settup.

Thanks!

I don't really like the calculators because they aren't exactly accurate and i am trying to save money here.

If you're trying to save money don't use flourite.

I used 1 20# bag of Ecco-Complete in my 20H. I ordered 4 bags for my 55G = 48" and believe that will do the job. The tank you have is the same length?

I have a 75 gallon and I got 7 20 lb bags of eco complete. I had one bag left over which I used in my 10 gallon. That gave me just 3 inches in each tank. I also have egg crate under the substrate so that takes up some room

as time has gone on I notice that some spots on the 75g are lower than I would like, it seems to have setteled lower. I could have added that 7th bag after all.

Thanks so much. Just what i wanted to hear.

I don't want to spend a load of money but I think flourite/eco complete it the best lasting substrate for the price.
