for those of you that have the hagen system, have u guys ever had problem with fish swimming behind the diffuser and gettin stuck? i've only had the system up for about a week and already TWO of my fish have gone in there and got stuck. both are still alive but they seem really tramatized and they have some wounds from trying to get out.

My dwarf pencils were doing that, but they were small and smart enough to get out without damage. Same with Otos.

Perhaps you could find a solution by using different rubber suckers, to give the unit more space between it and the glass.

I've had a few fish go back there, but they were all small enough to come and go without getting stuck. There was only one time my female betta decided to check it out and got stuck. Luckily I was there at the time and could help her out. Also lucky she's a pretty smart fish and seems to have learned her lesson.

well, the two fish that got stuck were a grown serpae tetra and a grown glass bloodfin. they can just squeeze in but cant get out. my ottos play around there too, but obviously they are a lot smaller and can get in and out.

It only happened once when the bottom suction cup was not stuck down good. Smash it really well and be sure it sticks to the glass.

I had my Ram get stuck in the ladder and I had to reach in and pull him out. He is doing fine now & it has never happened again.

once while doing a water change i notice a white cloud laying out on the top slant of the ladder with the water level several inches below. must have been like that for at least a few minutes. immediately splashed some water on it to get him back in the tank and it seemed like everything was ok. a week later, i'm short one white cloud. can't verify it was the one however.
