Whats wrong with my plant?

I uploaded two pics of a plant in my aquarium. I don;t think it's an amazon sword, but something similar. I forget exactly.

But the point, some leaves are developing light green patches.

Specs:

38 G tank
Pressurized CO2
96 W light
dry ferts (I am following the 20-40 Gallon Dosing regime)
50% H2O weekly changing

Can someone suggest what the problem could be?

it looks like a Rubin sword...did you just put the plant in you tank and are you dosing micos?

It has been in here for 4-6 months. I switched to high tech tank about 1 month ago.

Actually if I put my finger behind those light green patches, I see my finger through the leaf.

Yes I am dosing traces with PlantexCSM+B every 2nd day along with 1/2 tsp of Flourish Iron.

Got a pleco? That sure looks like a sword stripped to the bone by a pleco to me.

Then I would bank on it, it's very characteristic and I'm no stranger to it myself. Check the tank at night with a red light if you need to confirm.

It won't kill the sword as long as it's growing. Trim the affected leaves once they get too thin and start to rot. It's good for the pleco, that's the way I looked at it anyway.

You can trying throwing cucumber slices, zucchini etc in at night to keep him off.

My friend will take the pleco. He has no plants.

Will the plant repair itself?

It will by growing new leaves from the center, but the damaged ones won't repair themselves. Trim them off at the bottom near the gravel.
