Sean, that's hilarious! That's something I would do.

I'm always clogging my sink with debris for one reason or another. I try to remember to use my screens, but stuff still gets passed it.

The other day I had moved some plants around so one of the buckets had a little bit of gravel in it. Being lazy, I just poured the water in the sink. And then I saw the gravel going in. Ack! Sure enough, it jammed the disposal. Took me 15 minutes of constant reaching my hand in to get the gravel back out before it would finally stop jamming the thing.

I worry about clogging up the pipes with stuff. The last couple of days, I've been cleaning up some pot plants (non aquatic), including tossing out the plants that I allowed to die (oops!). Since I'm in an apartment right now, the only place I have to clean the pots and all is the bathtub. So I go to cleaning... and next thing I know, I have all kinds of crud floating around in the water which was NOT draining! I really don't want to call in the maintenance people to fix it since that would require that I confess to my own stupidity. Fortunately, I managed to take off the cap for the drain so the water could finally drain. I decided to not chance fate too much more so I ran a full tub of clean water to drain down in hopes it would push the crud out of the pipes. So far, so good. Of course, I ended up with water going everywhere while I used the shower head to clean things, but hey, it's only water, right?

skoorbza, no running out to get a steam cleaner. I have one in the closet for that very reason. I had to run home to get it when my original 29g tank cracked at 3am! Ever since then, I've kept it here for all my mishaps.

Karackle, thank goodness I'm not the only one! I don't seem to learn either.
