Question

Boesemani Rainbow?'s - Fish Changing

My Boesemani's have always been beautiful blue/gold, with a couple showing a little bit of red in the tail. Tonight I got home to find some with dark vertical stripes, and a lot of brilliant red in the tail/yellow. These pictures are crappy, but it was the bad camera and I forgot to turn on the light fully. Anybody have a clue? Are they mating? I have seen nice large ones in display aquariums, and never this before.

I really don't know, but if I had to fathom a guess I'd say they were a result of breeding displays.

My female neon rainbow developped a horizontal stripe and the male started going bonkers for her. A couple of days later after I moved some java moss in the shrimp tank, I had 2 little fry swimming around. Babies would never have stood a chance in the community tank.
