ppm to Moles/Liter

Hi everyone,

Is there a convenient easy to use site, online calculator, or even conversion factor for converting ppm to molarity? I have trouble thinking in terms of parts per million, but I can think of things in terms of molarity very easily.

Thanks in advance,

nevermind I think I found it. 1 ppm = 1mg/L. I never took analytical chemistry, is it obvious? Thanks, anyway.

Well, that doesn't yet give you moles/liter. You next divide by the formula/molecular/atomic weight (in grams/mole) to give millimoles per liter. Then divide by 1000 for moles/liter. A calculator would need to still know which chemical you are converting.
And in the case of nitrate/nitrite/ammonia you need to know if it is expressed as mg N per L or mg NO3/NO2/NH4 per L.
