NO!

You must go in multiples like I stated. A measuring tape doesn't usually register measurements smaller than 1/32"though.

what do you mean? On the ada website it says that is the appox dimensions in inches..why wouldn't that work?

How can someone not work with CM. Its just a different form of measurements. Any good carpenter can convert it perfectly.

Dude - I don't know - i'm not the carpenter. this guy builds houses - he is good.

but the question is why would the inches that I gave him not work? It seems like that is the conversion. (it was on the ada website...)

We are in America and we use inches here.I am a carpenter too,and if you gave me those measurements I wouldn't know what in the the sheol you were talking about.We don't use tenths here.Here are examples of typical measurements..22 1/4" ..36 15/16" ..58 3/32".

Do you get it now?

What would be the correct way to tell it to him then? I just don't want the measurements to be off.

I don't know what your other dimensions are,but 90 cm is the same as 35 7/16".The least that this carpenter should do is to go to the dollar store and buy a measuring tape.If he won't build the stand to your specifications, whether it is inches or centimeters,I would tell him to get lost.

That is more than 1/2" too long,but it is your stand.
