Question

Need fish suggestions and opinions please.

Hi, I currently have a pretty well planted and established 29gal. I just sold all 8 of my Exodons. Now don't have anymore fish. I sold them because they were too mean.( yes I knew this Prior to purchase, I've had them for about 9 months just not doing it for me anymore.) Since I've sold them as you already know, I have no more fish. I would like to know your Suggestion and Opinion "why its a good/cool fish to have?"

Thanks in Advance.

10 boraras sp. - they are very active and colorful schooling fish. they look cool, are very active (they just dont stop moving), and they always bicker about the pecking order which is cool to see (its just displaying, not actually fighting like with betta females).

2 SAE - they will keep algae from ever growing, and they are very intelligent fish. they can recognize different people, and the same trick doesnt work twice on them (so dont try to move them to different tanks unless neccissary since when you run out of tricks to catch them, they stay in the tank). youll need to feed them though since you dont have an algea outbreak, if you do have an algae outbreak, then you NEED this fish (eats string, hair, beard, thread, and black beard, algea). algae wafers work well for food, and it will learn to eat flakes in a few monthes (seeing other fish do it).

nah, 5.5 inches. but they are lazy as adults, and they arent territorial (they actually prefer the company of one another thought they dont truly school). they are perfectly happy in my 20L, and your tank will have 50% more water.

when i say boraras sp. i mean any species in the genus boraras. each species has its own name. one is the pheonix rasbora (its the one most consider the prettiest).

I had a SAE before. But I had a problem with my SAE. For some reason he keeps uprooting my plants. So I gave him away. He was about the 5"- 6" mark. Or maybe the wrong species. Link to a SAE?

Could've been a flying fox; they look very similar.

How about threadfin rainbowfish? Celestial pearl danios are sweet. Loaches & botias are cool, there are lots of awesome types. I like the sids.

I have full grown Lemon tetras and they are gorgeous! If you find them at your LFS they will look white and not so pretty. Get them fed right and feeling comfortable and they sparkle!

I also vote for the Sid loaches. They stay small and are adorable in groups of six or more.
