Long Term Clouding of water after adding BIO-Spira?
Has anyone else experienced long-term clouding after introducing BIO-Spira into their system? My tank finally cleared from the flourite mess...then a day after I added the packet...It's all turned cloudy again...It's been about 4-5 days since I added it.
The same thing happened on my 29g tank that I used to have...and it never cleared up no matter how many water changes I did... I am running a Water Polishing Pad, Activated carbon and Purigen in this tank and it seems as if nothing will fix this! |

If your polishing pad, carbon, nor purigen will remove it, then I'd put my money squarely on it being a bloom of bacteria, which seems to be exactly what you're wanting anyway. I suggest that you let it run its course.
I used Bio-Spira once and didn't have any sort of long-term clouding because of it, now there was a bacterial bloom, but I expected that. Then there was my 'I have no idea what I'm doing with fertilizer' period, where I reached new levels of green water fun. Was your 29g really cloudy from start to finish, how long did you have it?
