Rotala Wallichii Thriving, Java Fern Dying?
I recently set up my 12g tank and among other plants, it contains some rotala wallichii and a Java fern...I have no Co2 in the tank (UPS was supposed to deliver that today...) and I am dosing Flourish, Flourish Iron and Excel. The Java fern has some leaves that look as if they are slowly melting...but the Rotala is actually showing new growth...Anyone know what could cause this?

Whats your params? I know that when I have ODed my low/med light tank with Excell it causes the pH to crash and obviously the dissolved CO2 levels to increase and ends up burning low requirement plants. Also light too, if the original tank had low light and then the plant was introduced to a high light area it can cause the old foliage to die off and new foliage to appear that is tolerant of the higher light.
