are you adding snails? Did some exsist in that tank before the HFL was put in?
this would be a first I'd heard of a horse eating a snail.

Right i picked up around 5 dwarf chain loaches yesterday so far i haven't noticed much about them eating snails but they have not payed much attention to the Japanese trapdoors. I really like them there always out and playing and they chase/try to school with the Rasbos.

I will be waiting for updates.

I found a couple of tiny pond snails in my new set up. All that work for not. I assumed that would be the case. New at least one egg would find it's way.

How is your snail population? Do you still have JTD's? Are your Dwarf loaches doing their job?

FWIW- update; within 2 weeks there are no MTS or RCS in sight in my tank with the Clown Loaches! I threw about 50MTS in there and almost as many RCS, as well. My clown loaches are about 6" as well, so I've no doubt they can break through MTS shells...

well i've seen a decrease in snails especially Ramhorn and pond. i occasionally see Ramhorn but have yet to see a pond snail so i believe thay are affective and thay leave the Japanese Trapdoor snails alone
