I suppose I could try trimming those :p
I'm not in a huge hurry in any case. Thank you I didn't replace the moss, some strands have broken off and made their rounds around the tank settling into odd areas due to the 'dead' parts between where they were tied down and the new growing ends but thats ok. I'm just letting it do what it wants at the moment. If I replace it with anything it will be Christmas moss once I get some. There is a square of Flame in there (blob of green on the left-most Malaysian driftwood) but thats mostly in there because it'll get decent light without being coated with duckweed. |

Ok, I added my two magenta apple snails to help me clean off the glass which is working well but I still need to scrub it down. lol
So right now I have 2 angels, 4 Endlers and two apple snails. Full tank shot. I really need to get in there and exchange the Ludwigia for the Hygro thats in the back/left corner... see all the Ludwigia floating? lol I also need to take out a piece or two of the malaysian driftwood to attach some christmas moss to it (will be moving that flame moss out somewhere...) ![]() Angels and 1 apple snail. The snail is above their heads on a branch between the willow moss and a piece of the floating Ludwigia. ![]() To the left is the floating L. piece you saw in the last picture, middle is the snail, there is also (evil) duckweed and I had a little piece of Glosso so I set it on this piece of wood that sticks out of the water. Below it is some willow moss... the Glosso seems to like it here

Hey Cass, the tank is filling in nicely and looking good. If I were you...I would get better friends, how could your friend just dump 2 Angels and 2Mono's on you? I wouldn't help that person anymore. LOL Sorry I did that to you Kid. But I got the evil Blk Skirts. hehe
Seriously the tanks is looking really good. |

Cassie the tank is coming along nicely. What is the temp in your tank? I notice that moss does better at cooler temps. 76F should give you better results and your fish will be fine. I had moss in my discus tank 84F and it melted, but I notice the moss does not do well above 78F.

I'm serious. I really do.
You can see some in that picture with the snail/moss/glosso... I stood there for about an hour the other night plucking duckweed off the top of the tank (after taking out the Ludwigia, which is still in a bucket waiting to be planted) and the next day I looked and some had been released by plants/wood, etc where it was hiding the night before... I'm really trying to keep it out of that tank. yuck. Anywho. I have that poll set up right now about adding my Clouds to this tank at some point, my original plan was to set them up in a 20g tall with driftwood, Java ferns, moss and Hygro and have them with CRS and Snowballs but a friend said I shouldn't keep the CRS/Snows with fish and another friend said the Clouds would be so happy in the 55g. But (there always is one you know) In the 55g I'm already going to have a random unschooling group of fish, the Endlers. I don't know that I want two random unschooling groups in the tank (my Clouds don't really school. they kind of play tag). Plus it was brought up that with the angels in there I most likely wouldn't have comfortable Clouds and I wouldn't get their nice colors (right now they look awesome, loads of red, etc) and if I remember right I've read that keeping hyper fish with Angels isn't a very good idea. Sooooo I'm really back to thinking I want CRS/Snows in my 20g tall with my Clouds. I have 10/11 Clouds so that would be ok in the 20g. In case your wondering, I'm hoping to get my number of aquariums (full of water) to two. 6 tanks all together (including a 40g breeder tank for a leopard gecko & a 65g paludarium) So I don't want the 55g, a tank just for the Clouds and a tank just for shrimp. If the Clouds went in to the 55g the CRS/Snows would have a 15g themselves, but I would prefer to set up the Clouds and shrimp in my 20g. Ok, back to the 55g. I still need to put christmas moss on the Malaysian wood, swap the Hygro for the Ludwigia and do some other things in there... *sigh* so many projects so little time (and motivation). lol |

![]() I really need to work on this tank but we're planning on moving it to a different part of the house which I think would be a better time to fiddle with it plus I currently have two Angels guarding WIGGLERS (well, the male is mostly guarding some eggs that are still on the sword's leaf... but still). See this post for rambling and (rather large) images It's still two Angels (renamed to be Sam & Joon), three female Endlers (or are there four? I don't remember) and now some wigglers. |
