This is a perfect opportunity to get family/significant others into the maintenance routine
It will probably help to have a list of things your exposed to in the aquarium (ferts, additives, etc). when you go to the dermatologist. Then again most likely he's going to call it a contact dermatitis, give you a steroid cream, and tell you not to expose your skin to the aquarium. Long gloves like lifetapestry mentioned are a great idea. Do you mind updating us after you see the dermatologist? I'm planning a talk at the local fish club on aquarium-related illnesses and it would help out. For those who have a serious reaction to bloodworms, it would be a good idea to talk to your doc about it, he could probably give you an epi-pen. Let him know about possible exposure to the dust. By the time help arrives in alot of those cases it can be too late! |

Ok I'll keep you up to date. From what I just read there are no clear causes or treatments. I read where this lady had been dealing with it for decades.
