Have you seen it used in that contexts here? IMO Edrock200 is doing this for TPT and not for "just about every fish forum".(IF IM WORNG....SORRY)

I just found out that this is not what keeps a light from tipping over... lol

Ballast is a device used to start a gas discharge lamp, and, once the lamp is started, to limit the flow of electric current.

Actually a lumen is

Quote:
If a light source emits one candela of luminous intensity into a solid angle of one steradian, the total luminous flux emitted into that solid angle is one lumen. Alternatively, an isotropic one-candela light source emits a total luminous flux of exactly 4π lumens. The lumen can be thought of casually as a measure of the total "amount" of visible light emitted.

How about HC? I see you guys talk about it all the time, but I haven't been able to find out what it is anywhere. From context it sounds like a ground-cover foreground plant, but it's not dwarf hairgrass... looking through the plants index on the main page the closest I could find was Pearlweed, but as that's Hemianthus micranthemoides, wouldn't that be HM?

So... what's HC?
