You may need the pressurized to get rid of the BBA.

Running DIY on an aquarium as big as yours (68G) is really pushing it, especially with 4WPG of light. It will always be hard to maintain CO2 and pH levels on an aquarium of that size and that lighting running DIY.

Hey Mike what do you think my true WPG is being as my tank is 24" high. I also fill right to the brim so its about 26" total. My lights are as follows

2x 10k 95w URI
1x 18K 30w Powerglos
1x 5k 30w plant bulb
Total Wattage approximately 3.7/ gallon

But with the increased depth how accurate is this number? Im not sure but I think most wpgs are based on almost half this depth? Thats why I thought I might be able to get away with the Hagen. Also do you think I should ditch the powerglos and get another 2x 95w VHOs? And should I add an additional Hagen? Thanks for any help.

4 WPG. That's what I think it is!

All kidding aside, I don't think the depth is going to play a major role in your lighting. You have a lot of light, and I for one believe it will penetrate just fine.

I`ve only just noticed this thread.

I used to have problems all the time with the Hagen co2 packets not working, until I stopped following the instructions about stiring the mixture befor putting the lid on.

I now follow the instructions and skip the bit about stirring the stuff, I put the lid on and then put my thumb over the nozzle and shake it vigerously for 30 seconds. I have not had one of these mixtures failing to start in 6months.
