FT Lauderdale Area Stores

I am working in the FT Lauderdale Area for most of the summer. Can anyone recommend any good aquatic stores in the area? Thanks in advance.

big als is the best place around here. there are a lot of stores but big als has everything and a great plant selection. always good to call 1st to see if they just got a shippment. sometimes I go there and things are slim pickins, but not usually

I took a tour of stores in the area about five months ago. Big Al's was the only one worth the gas.

I went yesterday and there was a great selection. I brought in my bumblebee

and they put him in the big show tank.. more like show wall.

I need to go back again so if you all want to make a meet up out of it that would be cool.

If you have a large aquarium to stock, the people at Neighborhood Fish Farm in Miami give me good prices when making big orders. It's not worth the drive for a couple of fish but certainly worth the drive for a big order.

I know this is an older thread, but thanks for all the store listings everyone! I just moved back down to the Ft. Lauderdale area and visited Beverly's Pet Center yesterday. I really want to drive to Big Al's this weekend.

Beverly's did have some Cherry shrimp and a few Crystal Reds. The CRS were in a "show" tank and I don't think they were supposed to sell them, but I think I got a newbie employee.

Not a great grade, but perfect for me just being a hobby-breeder.

Anyhow, thanks again for all the advice on stores!
