I'm still here ... Because my schedule is very flexible, I can pretty much go with anywhen, anywhere ... Orange Park, Mandarin better for me, but whatever works for the majority ...

I have no tanks up currently, so it would be boring here not to mention droves of rambunctious children running amok. I wouldn't be adverse to hosting one down the line.
If no one wants to host in their home, I can see what it takes to get a room in one of the local libraries. I live in Murray Hill but I can go wherever.

I think it would be important to have an agenda to make sure we get done what we want to do, whatever that may be.
I can put one together and post it here, so everyone can add to it or offer other suggestions.

Been kinda slow.

Here's what I came up with for the agenda:

1. Introductions
2. Name of Org.
3. Meeting frequency/ day/ time
4. Organization structure

That's all I can think of right now.
I'm not sure how formal we want to be about this whole thing or how organized. I'm just throwing this out there.

Have we decided on a date yet?
Or a place?

Thats great! The 8th will work better for me if that's ok with you guys. I just sent Steve a note, he has been busy with work. I'm sure he will post back here soon. He also has a lot of information about starting the club. What you have so far is great. As far as I know we haven't decided on a meeting place yet. Maybe we could do this over lunch or dinner? Any thoughts on this?

I'm getting really excited about this!!

September 8th works fine for me. I'm also fine with meeting in or around OP. Choosing a meeting location may be the most difficult. Libraries have meeting rooms that can be reserved though we might not have enough advance notification. Alternatively we could see if a small restaurant has a small room that we can reserve if we want to include lunch or dinner with our meeting. Thoughts?

So here it is.

For the first ever meeting of the soon to be named aquarium club I propose the following:

Saturday, September 8, 2007
5pm
Beef O'Brady's in Orange Park

This should be a casual place where we can grab a large enough table to hold about 10 people. If you want to eat, go ahead; if not, that's good too.
Let me know if this works for everyone. If there are other suggestions for place or time I'm open.
Not trying to be a self-appointed magistrate here or anything, I just wanted to have something set well in advance for those who need to make arrangements with spouses, significant others, work or whatever activities planned that day.

Please post if you are cool with this or have any other suggestions for place and/or time.
