Tampa Bay area Planted Tank Club?

Hey,

Checking to see if you guys would still be interested in setting the planted club planted club for the Tampa/Central Florida and surrounding area. It would be cool to get together once in a while and exchange plants and stuff that is of interest to planted tank keepers. I have my own website that I can set up with a bulletin board where we can meet and discuss meetings, take request for plants, list what we have too offer and such. Or we can set one up on this forum or wherever. I had a good time last time we met, and woulds like to continue the meetings. I have offered 3 folks here in the Tampa Bay area and Hopefully we can get it going again.

Alex we have talked and you know that I am in. Just posting to let everyone else know. I'm in Tampa and would travel north or south, or help organize a location here in Tampa. I'm not sure where a real good place would be actually, a house or elsewhere. I'll subscribe to this thread and keep an eye on it. I'm excited for what this could grow into...

Were Up to 5 folks so far. And I think there are a few more folks around the area, that might be interested.
What do you guys think would be a good way to stay in touch with everyone.
Have a forum like this or just get Eveyones e-mail and do it like that?
Or I can set up a web site and host it on my domain (aquadad.com). Its already paid for the next 3 years and I get lots of space and plenty of bandwidth. I can probably set up a subdomain so the web addy would be www.CFPAA.aquadad.com (I think thats how subdomains work not sure though).
And how about a name.
We can use the one that was discussed here not to long ago
Central Florida Planted Aquarium Association (CFPAA)
Tamba Bay Planted Club (TBPC).

All Comments, Suggestions welcomed.

Any forum would be fine IMO. We could use an email as a reminder but, right now, with only a few members this board would probably suffice. The aquadad would be fine as well. If that site would require any real work for you, Alex, lets use PT.

As for a name..both of those look fine to me...the CFPAA looks cooler to me, sounds official too

I also think we should all get the tattoo of the club name on our arms. And on the leather jackets we WILL wear to the meetings. Oh, I think we should require a beating to get into the group, you know, like a gang.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I haven’t been around lately, but taking care of my 3 year old daughter all by myself has been taking up all of my time and has me a bit worn out.

I would like to setup a meeting in the near future and would like to get feedback on dates and location. I’m available all weekends except the weekend of April 1-2 (Daughters B-day and will be going down to Miami).

Location I have no idea on, I can have it at my place, but it is a little one bedroom studio Apt. So it will be crowded, but will be happy to have it here if you guys want.

Let me know when you are available and a location preference and I will try and get it going.
