South Florida Aquatic Plant Club First Ever Meeting. We will do a team aquascape!

Announcing the first ever SFAPC meeting! Anyone in the general vicinity of Miami that wants to come, send me a PM and Ill get you more info. Anyone from out of the area that just happens to be in Miami at the time is welcome as well.

When: The last weekend in Febuary (Feb 25-27) or first weekend in March (Mar 4-6). Its up for discussion, respond here or shoot me a PM with the dates that work best for you or dates that don't work at all. I'll announce

Where: My place on Miami Beach. Make a day at the beach out of it! Shoot me PM if you can come and Ill send you the address and directions.

Agenda:
1) Meet and introductions.
2) Discussion: Where we are going with this club, how often to meet, can we pursue discounts with LFS etc.
3) Group Aquascape project. Ill supply the equipment, you supply the ideas and get your hands into the substrate. Basically, I will pick up a small tank this weekend to get the cycle started. Attendees will discuss all the details (substrate, lighting, plant selection, etc) and as we come to consensis I will get the supplies. You don't need to bring a thing, but if you really really want to donate something to the cause, just mention it in your posts as the discussion developes.

An update: First meeting is on for late February/early march. We are looking at Saturday, February 26th. I'll be hosting at my place in Miami Beach. Reply here or send me a PM if you have not already done so.

As far as the group aquascape project: it's a go. I bought a standard 10 gallon along with filter and eco-complete substrate. feel free to chime in here with your opinions on lighting, hardscape, plant selection etc. Hope to see you there.
