Anything you guys have left over would be fine by me! I'm not really picky (yet!) as to what I put into my tank. Only thing is I don't want the typical Amazon sword in there as it would quickly out grow and smother everything else as I only have a 20gall tall!

Please accept myy apologies to everyone who showed an interest in the plant club. I have relocated from the tropics (Orlando) to the arctics (Chicago) and had to abandon the plant club in Orlando. Thanks to all of you for your support and good luck with your club!

Good model that you're using to form you club. The SFBAAPS (San Francisco Bay Area Aquatic Plant Society) operates under a similar model...very informal with limited budgetary issues (mainly to cover the cost of maintaining the Web server).

For meeting spaces we tend to do a mixture of public establishments and member open houses...with an emphasis on the open houses. This is a great way to meet and share ideas and plants while also allowing members to show off their tanks.

I'd be interested in meeting up every now and then to trade plants, fish, and knowledge. There has to be enough people between this forum and the others to make it worthwhile.

As much as that is a long term goal of mine, life won't allow the full blown club thing at the moment. But, I do love an excuse to tidy up the house, so I'll just call it a social event for the time being! Thanks for looking into it...we'll talk
