Discus Suppliers

HI all. I am about to buy my second batch of discus and wanted to get everyone's opinion on a couple of suppliers. Discus Madness out of New Jersey and Wattley Discus out of Florida. Any info would help Thanks

Wattley's farm has a great rep. I haven't bought any from him myself (yet!) but have a few friends who have, and they've got some fantastic fish.

If I were you, though, I'd try to find as local a breeder as possible- especially a breeder that's raising discus already acclimated to your regional water supply.

Are you a member of any local fish clubs? That would be a good place to check around...

www.SimplyDiscus.com would be a good place to check for local breeders, as well. (I believe that Jack Wattley was a founder of that site, too.)

I totally agree with Lauraleellbp. I had gotten mine from a breeder I found in my local newspaper. Be siurprised what you find in your local classified.

I have dealt with Mathias @ Discus Madness & wholeheartedly recommend him & his livestock.

Here's some of my Red Turks I got from him:

x2 on a Simply Discus sponsor. A lot of members there post pictures of the fish that they bought from each sponsor so that gives you an idea of what you would be buying.
