here are my cory's. They have no name The only pygmy cory's I have had were jet black and super tiny. Like smaller than eco-complete substrate tiny. You couldn't even see them unless they were moving. Made my eco look like it was alive lol.

I bought my julii to hang out in the sand in front of my tank, but they apparently prefer to hang out in my plants and brush over my leaves. So much for that. Maybe my future Sterbai will have more fun in the sand. lol.

I'm just asking because the black line is far to fat to be an adolfoi and most pet stores sell duplicareus as adolfoi. Also if your adofoi is a full grown adult the orange would have faded.

Cories I've raised: Duplicareus, Paleatus, Aeneus, Bronze, Sterbai, Agassizzi, Panda, and Weitzmani.
Personal favorites: Duplicareus, Sterbai, and Pantanalensis.
Why: Patterns and color.

My favorite to watch are my Peppered cories, they're always active and playing with each other, bumping around the tank, they really are just clowns...

Favorite looking are my Sterbai but they aren't really that fun to watch, they mostly just sit on the substrate with the occational jaunt to the other side of the tank every once in a while...

A couple of my Sterbai, doing what they do best...

Wow this thread has exceeded my expectations. I'm getting exactly the kind of info I was hoping for. Thanks everyone! Please keep them coming, as I'm very close to deciding which cories I'll be putting in my 20g. Plus, I think everyone appreciates this thread because of how much everyone loves cories.

I'm a Panda fan myself.
Just curious though, what is the smallest cory species? Is it the pygmy?

AHHHHH a thread dedicated to corys! I love it!!!

I have 18 corys in my 85 gallon:
- 8 Emerald Green (Brochis splendens)
- 6 Sterbai (Corydoras sterbai)
- 4 Skunk (Corydoras arcuatus)

Love em all. Don't have a favorite kind.

I'd like to keep a few corydoras rabauti someday. They look pretty cool.

I really like the Sterbai's, but never kept them.

Out of the ones I have kept (in order of....favoritism?):

1. Emeralds
2. Pandas
3. Albions
4. Some kind I never did ID, but the LFS only had one.

ditto---currently considering a butt load of Sterbai in a 30 gallon. Ok, maybe not a butt load--but several. Wonder if a 30 gallon would support 10 Rummynose Tetras and 10 Sterbai Corys---hmmmm.

Problem with having more than one aquarium--too many dang choices to make--becomes kindof overwhelming for a noob.

I've kept panda, peppered and Sterbai cory's. They are all adorable! Currently I have 7 peppered and 1 Sterbai cory in a 120g planted. The peppered school, my lonley Sterbai sticks to herself. I'm looking for more Sterbai's, I want to add a couple more.
