Question

Intro and a few initial questions

Hi, before I start congrats on an excelent website/forum, it is really informative.

I'm Gerhard and I live in Namibia (Southern Africa) and been keeping fish for the past year or so. I currently have 3 tankie setups 100l, 50l and 20l with the following fishies.

100L (Aquaclear 200, 150w Heater, 1.5wpg Lighting)
2x Yoyo loaches, 1x Sailfin Pleco, 1x RF Shrk, 2x BA Tetras, 2x Lemon Tetras, 2x Pulcher Tetras, 2x Bribs, 1x Albino CEA and a Herams Loach.

50l
3x WCMM, 2x Albino Cory's

25l
approx 36 WCMM Fry.

Any commments on my stocking? over/under etc, etc. My idea is to give/sell the minnow fry to our LFS, move the corys to the 100l and the Kribs to the 50l to start conditioning them towards spawning. will accept the WCMM as tank mates during this time??...

Thanx

First of all welcome! I have 5 kribs living in my tank right now. They're pretty young so I was hoping a couple would pair off and I can get rid of the rest. Anyways, I feel that the minnows would do fine with the Kribs. They're fast enough to get away so they should be ok.

I've heard that the Kribs can get pretty nasty when they spawn though. So be careful about that.

In my experience, all I needed to do to breed kribs was put in a cave - 1/2 of a terra cotta pot - and the dame things would breed like crazy. Wouldn't stop until I pulled the pot.

By far the easiest fish to breed I ever had.

P.S. - I kept re-reading your OP to see where the kribs were, until I realized in S. Afr. they apparently call them bribs!
