My fish had Babies

My Guppies just had BABIES!!!! YAY i was wondering what i have to do to take care of them? Like do i have to do anything special for them? They are the Fancy Guppies

I would suggest getting some Fry Food for them. I use Mikropan Mini flake fry food for my fry. I also drop in a sinking shrimp pellet or two to give them some variety of food to make sure they grow up big and healthy.. Congrats on the guppy fry.

In addition to Matt's comments, I would add that if your tank does not have a lot of veg/hiding spots, you may want to net the little fellas and raise them in a breeder net. Every guppy I've ever had didn't seem to have any moral issues with eating their young.

Heheh, I guess I should have stated that, but I assumed that they were already seperated our they would have most likely already have become lunch.

Yes i have hornwort covering most of the tank. Also to add i cracked a pot and have it arranged like the cydney oprah house. I also have two hollow wood decorations. Do you think that they would survive to adult hood?

Their odds increase with added structure, but they would still be safest in a net. What I would do, if you have a decent sized net, is simply net as many as you can, prop that net at the top of the tank, and throw some of that hornwort in with em. Maybe catch half of them, and see which survive better (netted or free). Also, keep the adults well fed. If they are full, they will be less likely to actively seek out the young.

You could always just get a cheap breeding net (few bucks at most) and try to catch em and throw em in with that with some of that hornwort in it, would be easier to just feed the fry this way as well.

When I left guppy fry in the tank a couple out of the batch would grow to adulthood. If I put them in a breeding trap I only ever lost a few.

When I raise the baby guppies seperately, I have almost 100% survival rate.
In the community tank, only a few if any survive depending on how crowded my tank is. Because of the baby guppies, my 10 gallon tank is way overstocked. I refuse to let the guppies take over another tank. But I give some to friends though. Must have almost 100 guppies more or less in that tank. Very heavily planted

what colors are guppys.. i have them in a 5gal... no hiding places...and the male is white with a black and oranged striped tail... and the female is white with just a stripe on its tail..
what colors would the babies be?

The Guppies will colour up over time and will have similar but probably very unique patterns... now the fun begins as you get to watch them develop
