My guess is Corydoras sterbai.

yep, definitely Sterbai. The only other cory that has the orange fins that I know of is Seuss' cory. But they don't have the clearly defined white spots on dark like Sterbai.

already have 2 peppered Corys in there, and this one is all by himself in LFS discus tank

Sometimes they group by species and exclude the others

Hi,

I just bought a great book called Dr. Axelrod's Mini-Atlas of Freshwater Aquarium Fishes and I found two corys in the book that might be the one you have.
Corydoras haraldschultzi (Harold Schultz's ory) or Corydoras Sterbai (Sterba's Cory).
