Split tail platy?

One of my females gave birth to this girl. I don't recall one specifically having a weird tail, but I wasn't looking for that. However, her tail has been like this for at least three months. Is it an injury or is she just weird? Thanks

Sorry for the bad pictures. Cheapo point and shoot digital camera! (Seriously, I got it for $5 )

She's pretty interesting looking! You sure you have platies not swordtails?

Looks like something genetic to me, at least...

100% positive. Her mom, possible dad(s) and all siblings have round tails.

I could get pictures of them if I need to...

So, I wonder: if this is genetic, and I breed her, will I start a new line of fish? That would be cool

Looks kind of like a double tail in a betta. You could breed double tailed platys!

Now this girl needs to grow up do I can breed her! How long does it take for platies to reach sexual maturity?
