Anchor Cats: Perfect Nano Bottom Dwellers!

I just found the perfect little bottom dweller for my nano tank. Profile is here . Don't let the pictures fool you... these guys are tiny! they get just over an inch... I'm too lazy to take pics of my own right now... but I'm glad to find another fish to keep the proper scale in my nano tanks!

thanks... i don't know how many times i passed their tank. I now have a nice scavenger that fits the proportions of the other fish in the tank. I bought 5. They aren't super active during the day... i walked by the tank last night though and they were all over the place.

Were they at your LFS? I don't recall ever having seen those. They remind me of raphael or banjo cats, though smaller.

yes they were... they look just like miniature banjo cats except they don't dig under the sand.

i saw them before but they are more rare, especially nowadays. i was also questioning what they were when i first saw them. they're very interesting to look at that's for sure.

natty: i think planetcatfish doesn't allow hotlinking pictures... they don't show up for me anymore either.

zoo: My LFS is awesome! They have all kinds of oddball stuff... and all really well cared for. As I've told a few other members... If you're interested in something the LFS owner is willing to ship. He's a wholesaler so he's familiar with it... He's not set up for public shipping so i imagine at some point he'll cry uncle. Until then, he offered. I will talk to him on monday about setting up an online shop. I think adding an online store and adding a marine store are two things he needs to do.
