good algae eaters

Rosy barbs do a very good job on hair algae but will not touch BBA.

They're very active, tho, will sometimes nip fins on larger fish... and if they really like your tank, you'll never be rid of them (spawn like rabbits for me!) I think they're a good fish to have as your tank is getting established.

Jordanella work well.

SAE's will no longer go in my tank. They make other fish nervous and are impossible to catch without completely breaking down the tank.

wow, thats a big die off. i only bought 2 SAE ever and they both did fine, but i got them from an LFS, so they had a 20 min car ride in a cooler (with the cars temp at 75 anyway) not a days ride in a box in a truck.
