I dont know about SAE but my dwarf gouramis did and my cories snack on them a lot, I dont know if that is any help at all but it helped me out!

hydras are animals in the phylum cnidaria (along with anemones, corals, jellyfish, and such). SAE are mainly herbavorous (will eat some meat if they need protien or if process so they dont know its meat). they will not it eat, plus i dont think there is much that will as hydra, like other cnidarians, have nematocysts. the nematocysts are specialized stinging cells. they may sting fish that touch them, but even if they dont they would probably be able to sting the unprotected inside of the mouth and esophagus. my suggestion is to dose some copper (that should work since they are invertebrates).
