Pleco tank size?


I know plecos spend alot of time vertical so i was wondering if i could get a gold nugget for my tank that measures about 50 gallons its kinda a custom tank. its 20"L 18"W 30"T. whats your opionon about this?

Here is what I could find. I have had mine in a 75, then into a 210, and he still is under 6 inches. Had him a couple years too.

Family: Loricariidae
Range: Brazil - Rio Xingu and Rio Iriri Rivers
Size: Up to 6 inches
Diet: Omnivores and Herbivores represented in species
Tank Set-up: Freshwater: Rocks, sparse plants, driftwood
Tank Conditions: 73-79ºF; pH 6.5-7.0; dH 8-10, oxygen-rich water
Minimum Tank Capacity: 50 gallons
Light: Low
Temperament: Peaceful
Swimming Level: Bottom
Care Level: Moderate
Reproduction: Egg Laye

Plecos come from rivers/streams and prefer waters with current. Therefore, a tall tank may not be suitable for plecos.
