Try to look for some smaller tetras.....like ember tetras. Black skirt tetras are going to ultimately slaughter your fry if your dwarfs spawn.

Try to find either smaller tetras, rasboras, hatchets (providing your tank is covered) or pencilfish.

I would go with a school of around 6.

Pencilfish will work just as well as the ember tetras.

Default You Want Zero Tetras In Ther!!!!!!!!

You're going to have to have ZERO Tetras in there, why? cichlids are very aggressive to other kinds of fish except cichlids together, and cichlids will for sure 100% kill everything that is alive in there, except the cichlids

That's a bit hyperbolic... I'd assume by "dwarf cichlids" the OP means Rams or Apistos, which certainly wouldn't hunt and kill any other inhabitants just because they're cichlids. However, the limiting factor in this case is the tank size. The entire surface area (since it's limited) is likely completely controlled by the 2 cichlids and any tankmates wouldn't alleviate any stress or encourage movement, it would only worsen the problem... If you're having relatively decent results keeping the 2 dwarf cichlids in there, I'd keep the setup as is. How long have they been in the tank?

entirely not true. For you to claim an abolute like that you are 100% wrong. A 10g with a pair of dwarfs depending on what dwarfs you have will be the factor on what school of tetras you can keep with them. I see you are from Chi-town and since Chi-town is Cichlid crazy I amagine this is the school you come from. Angels are cichlids, Discus are cichlids, my yellow cons are cichlids, and they can all be kept with schooling fish they cant fit in thier mouths.

I would stick to the smaller tetras in a 10g. I think black neons, neons, green neans, cardinals, penguins, pristilla, and I am sure there are more. I would stay away from black skirt, or an skirted just for the fact that they can get larger. From my experience skirted tetras are skitish and in a 10g that would give them very little room to freak out.

wow whoever said 100% sure thing disgust me... I have two dwarf Nanochromis Sabinae in there right now with 6 galaxy rasbora and 2 small loaches (whichever kind stays small) and i'm gonna take them out soon they were just for the snails... going in my 72 soon. Anyways I might even put the nanochromis in my fish/turtle tank soon (72 bow, 265 CF 6700/10000, Pressurized, Flourite, Anubias, swords, java fern, moss, etc...)

The galaxy rasboras are probably ok. I would go with something a little more nimble in there like the ember tetras or something. They always worked well for me.

I haven't kept those kind of cichlids so I am unsure of thier agression level but you should still be able to put 6 of something small in there.

I have a school of 6 WC minnows in a 12g eclipse with a pair of lamprologus ocellatus (sp?) They're Lake Tang. shell dwellers, and they have no beef with the minnows. The school stays on the upper level of the tank, the pair of Occies occupy the bottom and the shells. Everyone is happy and the tank looks "full".

Just a suggestion! Good luck w/ your tank. I saw some pics of the Nanos and they look beautiful.
