So I visited a LFS that sells a lot of breeds of Corys...

I think I've seen 14 or 15 this year alone.

Today they had sterbai corys. I've never heard of them before.
Google has exactly 1 match....

Any truth to the name ?? Cost me $18.99 for a young-one.

(this picture looks like a cross of a leopard cory and a sterbai. Mine has the same head spots also in the tail).

To me that looks like a regular Corydoras sterbai. They are indeed expensive and in NYC I have seen them for that price. If you look around on the web you will find them cheaper, but of course you will also have to pay for shipping.

Here's one of mine:

BTW I paid $2.99 each for mine about 2 years ago... The price you paid seems a little high...

Damn, that's cheap. The cheapest I saw them in New York City was $12.99 and the highest $23.99.

I bought mine from AllOddballAquatics.com for I think $7 and thought it was a steal. :?
