Dwarf clawed frogs, and African Dwarf clawed frogs are the same thing... just different common names for the same animals. There are 3 species or so that are in the pet trade, and all originate from Africa. I'm just telling you that if you see a part of a fin missing, you know who the culprit was.

I'd keep the number of angels at or below 4. I have 4 black adult angels in a 55 (I raised them from quarter sized "pups"). Two have paired off and get very nippy with the other two and I always see frayed fins when two of the males try to fight for the female's attention. Also, angels love water changes, we do 50% weekly changes on that tank. There's nothing sadder than seeing a beautiful, full grown angel with hole in the head.

ETA I would exnay the frogs too. Kuhli loaches look a lot like worms and I bet the frogs would LOVE to go after them. A friend had one of the "African Clawed frogs" and it grew to be almost fist sized and ate all of her other fish!

ya i know about them clawed frogs but african dwarf frogs only grow to about a bit over a nickel. i do about 30% water changes weekly but usually 40-50%. i like to keep my tank nice and healthy. i'm going to keep the number of angels at 4.

That is the frog he is referring to. Size doesn't matter. Dwarf puffers, for example, are smaller than your thumbnail. They will still nip fins of fish several times their size.

In the end, what you do with your tank is your business.

ya but it's others when they get to know it i don't think my frogs will try and eat my loaches because the loach would probably end up killing the frog

Sea- another reason many ppl don't favor keeping frogs in the same tank with fish is that most frogs poop like mad dogs- really high bioload makes it hard to keep the water parameters where they should be w/out some killer filtration...

LOL how'd I know you'd say that?

At the point you can run both filters on there, if the frogs aren't too big, you'll prolly be OK

I would say that your angels and gouramis are likely to eat shrimp, maybe even adult shrimp.
