Default Glass Gobies, Gobiopterus chuno

Just got a group of 6 of these. they were 1 pound each and are already fuly grown.

I have looked online and can't find any info that states if they will predate on cherry shrimps.

Anyone know if the are going to be ok with cherry shrimp

Most gobys are bottom feeders and like live food. Just keep an eye on them and if your shrimp stock starts dwindling you will know where they are going.

Personally, I would make a species tank for them. Or keep upper level fish that are too big for them to eat.

They are Fully Grown so i dont think there are any fish that are smaller than 2mm. I'm Just worried about them munching on cherry shrimp as they are small and soft.

I ask as i just ordered 16 Bumblee bee shrimp and another 10 cherry shrimp.

I seriously doubt there is any fish at all that won't eat baby shrimp, given the opportunity. Perhaps only the strictest of vegetarian fish- but there aren't all that many of those.

IMO it's a matter of how much the fish decide they like shrimp- will they just eat one if it happens to swim in front of their nose, or will they tear the tank apart hunting for them?

Probably the only way to go if you don't want to risk any shrimp to predation.

Never seen these before, how big are they fully grown?

As for bumblebee gobies, I'd think they would occasionally eat a few small cherries. From my knowledge, Bumblebee gobies only get up to .6"-.7" = Small mouths.
