This topic might be too old for many people to read, but I'll add my "two cents" anyway. I HAD a puffer in my planted tank which had quite a few snails. They were GONE in no time!! I also had 4 zebras in the tank and 4 cory cats. Somebody might say I'm crazy BUT the puffer ATE 3 of the zebras!!!?? and one of the cats before I caught on to his act and deep sixed him/her. They are GREAT snail eaters, especially the little ones that came aboard some plants I put in,
just before I got the puffer.
