How would this go?

Right now my tank only has 2 german blue rams its a 48g. 20L 18W 30T and I was thinking I could do the following I would like to hear comments about it working.
M/F german blue rams
1 or 2 Discus ( which do you think would be better 1 or 2? )
12 neon or cardinal tetras

Thanks!

I would not put Discus in a 48gal tank. Especially if it is 20in long (?). They would be better off in a 90gal.

Yes, discus prefer a larger space, although they do like a tall tank. Also, they also do better in groups of 6 to 8, and should never be kept singly, as I understand it.

As for your rams, they'll be happier with just the characins, as they don't do well with too much company.
