Large SAE

I've got a 200gallon aquarium w/ some big s.a. cichlids, and want some sAE's. Does anyone know where I can get them that are large? Does anyone have a small aquarium where their SAE's are starting to outgrow it, and be willing to sell and ship them to me? Is there a website that sells large SAE's?
I'm in St. Louis, MO.

My cichlids are very docile (for being large cichlids). I really don't know if small fish would end up as lunch or not. They've never eaten live food.

Thanks

SAE's grow very fast, and they are
very good at evading predatory fish.
I would simply throw them in your
tank, and in a matter of Months you
will have >4" adult size algae eaters.
note the females grow larger than
the males.

Yeah, they are FAST FAST. I'm sure they'd be ok with the cichlids unless they get caught off-guard or while sleeping. That said, if you've never fed the SA's live food and keep them well fed, it may be ok. I had SA and CA cichlids a while back that did quite well with yoyo loaches (another narrow-bodied fast fish). Once you have the SAE's in there, especially with a tank that size, don't expect to ever be able to get them out again. They're too darn fast, though they are good algae eaters usually. I say "usually" b/c sometimes they get lazy as they get larger and rely more on flake food and sinking pellets.

Ive got a 100g planted with a school of 9 SAEs that are about 3" in size... they are happy and healthy but I think in a year or so at their current growth rate 9 might be a bit too many... Id be willing to part with a few if you like.

Ill send a PM with details.

I bet you're right mtmd. I had 7 in my 90g and once they got a little over 3", I decided it was too many. I had to tear out almost all of the plants and wood to catch them, plus drain the water way down, but had to sell them back as the HC kept getting uprooted and I was worried about them eating baby shrimp.

I just sold 4 out of 8 of my SAEs in my 75 gallon. They are over 3" in less than 3 months. Mine were very easy to catch. They are used to coming to the front for flakes and frozen blood worms when I walk by so I just netted them out.
