46% fishmeal protein is higher than most commercial flake, but there really is
little difference one flake to the next unless you can buy them freshly made.
from the ingredient list it appears to be a comprehensive product.

Fish Meal, Wheat Flour, Soy Protein Concentrate, Wheat Gluten, Fish Protein Concentrate, Brewers Dried Yeast, Rice Flour, Fish Oil, Shrimp Meal, Wheat Germ Meal, Soy Protein Isolate, Lecithin, Spirulina, Spray Dried Krill Digest, Crab Meal, Natural Flavor, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate, Crayfish Extract in Soybean Oil, Iron Oxide, Vitamin Premix Containing (Wheat Middlings, Vitamin A Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Niacin Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex, Folic Acid, Pyridoxine HCl, Thiamine Mononitrate, d-Biotin), Betaine, Choline Chloride, Anise Flavor, Chlorophyll in Soybean Oil, Carrot Oleoresin, Ethoxyquin (used as a preservative).Crude Protein (Minimum) 46% Crude Fat (Minimum) 7% Crude Fiber (Maximum) 4% Moisture (Maximum) 9% Vitamin C (Minimum) 1,400 mg/kg

a little off-topic, but i'm curious to know what people are feeding their small fish as daily staple? for floating food, i recently switched over from basic flakes (e.g., tetramin) to hikari micro pellets and noticed my tetras have been spawning a LOT more. maybe it's just coincidence?

Ken's food is great, I use his spirulina w/ garlic, catfish pellets, and topical flake for most feedings. A nice variety is best for most fish.

If I had to choose one, it would be spirulina w/ garlic. My fish go crazy for it.

not really, spirulina is primarily a vegetarian or omnivore food,
and garlic is simply a appetite stimulant like MSG, not nutrition.
Like I wrote earlier, any high protein flake is fine, but the fresh
stuff will deliver more of the original nutrition, and fresher food
is more appreciated taste-wise by your fish, than shelved flake.

any of them would be fine, but Beefheart is said to be the best.
email him, maybe they have a dry food sample pack they can sell.

take a look through his great crumbles too;
