Who are my Vegetarians?

I started planting my 75g and EVERYthing I plant gets eaten in a few days.
Fish:
5 Angels
2 Large Silver Dollars
3 Rosie Barbs
1 Silver Loach ???
3 Corys

Any ideas who is eating all my vegs?

Most likely the Silver Dollars. I heard of them eating plants.

You're so right.

Silver dollars will easily mow down the whole planted tank.

Loaches also eat plants. I had clowns and yoyos consuming my Amazon swords last year.

Well most loaches(never heard about Clown Loaches) dont eat plants. I guess it truly depends on their diet I guess.

i'd go for the rosy barbs too.. barbs love to munch on soft plants.

Yeah but I never had problems with Barbs. I had Barbs in a 10g with Hornwort and other plants of such(when I didnt know anything) and no one ate anything.

There are exceptions such as the kuhlis. Unfortunately, some loaches will just consume plants despite the fact that they are well-fed.

Hornworts are rather tough and feathery so barbs don't easily consume them.

yeah, nobody would go for hornwort... not even a pleco...
whatever you do, don't add a common pleco.. I had you give mine away to my sister. you can get a bristle nose pleco, otos, and rubber lip.

I'm talking "SHREDDED" eaten to the ground in days. I was thinking the Silver Dollars too. They are pretty good sized and the plants disappear quick.

I second that.

Loaches bore holes on the leaves and in your case, it's shredding hence your silver dollars are the culprits.

I kept Metynnis argenteus before which is different from Myleus rubripinnis. Both are still voracious vegetarians.
