Cory's clouding the tank

After adding 5 new little cories (C. zygatus something or other i think?) yesterday, I'm pretty sure they're clouding up my aquasoil. Any experience with this/suggestions short of getting rid of them? Does it calm down?

I have a nice little shoal of cories in ecocomplete/flourite. These guys don't stir things up enough to cloud anything for me. I'm not sure if it's due to your substrate- I'm assuming you mean they're rooting through it and creating cloudy water near the bottom? Or is all of your water cloudy?

The whole column is cloudy, and its been clear for months, just getting cloudy yesterday after i added the new cories. Supreme coincidence or painfully obvious, you decide.

maybe your substrate is long overdue for a gravel vacuum.
also try feeding your fish tank a lot less food from now on.

Sounds like a bacteria bloom, which I think can be brought on by ammonia. What size tank is it?

It's a 55 long, with about 30 cardinals, a pair of rams, 5 c. zygatus and a farlowella. No ammonia tested recently. I think i can see particulate dust settling on moss.
